A trial for laser welding the dial involves welding and sealing the back bottom cover to the movement holder, using stainless steel material. The weld seam must be waterproof, possess an exquisite appearance, good consistency, and a small size. Moreover, the welded parts should be firm and free from deformations, discoloration, and other defects. A rotating workbench, WF300 laser welding machine, W-PCTL2020 workbench, FSI type optical fiber, 0.4mm core diameter, and CF3612080AV collimating and focusing head are used for the welding process.
Dial Chart
To achieve a uniform and consistent appearance of the weld seam, precise matching between the back bottom cover and the movement fixing seat is necessary in the general laser welding of the dial. The welding process requires installing the fixture with the workpiece in the rotary table, positioning the welded piece at a certain angle relative to the laser beam direction, and rotating the workpiece to complete the welding. In this example, the diameter of the weld is 38mm, and its circumference is calculated as C = 3.14 * 38 = 119.32mm, indicating a welding time of S = 119.32 / 4 = 29.83s.
